Huge Rise in American, Chinese & Korean Tourists in Hungary
The number of Chinese tourists who arrived in Hungary in January-July nearly quadrupled from the same period a year earlier, the Hungarian Tourism Agency said.

Budapest was the most popular destination for Chinese visitors, but the cities of Szentendre, on the outskirts of the capital, and Pécs, in the southwest, were also big draws.

Television shows have drummed up interest in Hungary among Chinese visitors, the agency said.

The number of South Korean visitors to Hungary also rose four-fold during the period, while the number of American tourists increased by 35%.
