'Pálinka And Sausage Festival', Budapest, 7 - 10 October
"Arguably the most beautiful spot in Budapest is the Savoyan Terrace in the Castle of Buda. This spectacular place will be the venue of the second Palinka and Sausage Festival this October. The Hungarian Palinka Marketing non profit organization created this major cultural and gastronomical event not only to uphold traditions, but also to acquaint them with our national and international visitors and guests.

As it has been with our past events, demand from manufacturers was high, but due to the constraints of the venue, we were forced to limit the number of exhibitors and vendors to the finest fifteen of the distillers and ten of the very best of the sausage makers.

The festival is an excellent opportunity to discover the world of Hungarian palinkas and sausages and their cenutries old traditions and exceptional recipes. Secret ingredients and special preaparing make these products not only unique but also class them among the world's premium brands.

During the festival our guests can become familiar with outstanding Hungarian protected palinkas, like the Békési plum brandy or the Kecskeméti apricot brandy. The exhibitors of this three day event would especially like to emphasize the distinct nature of the palinka and its distinguished character among sprits. They will be more than happy to share their insight and knowledge with you at the event: you will be able to find out all about the ingredients, spices and moves that together make up these traditional sausages. As for those coming only to enjoy the different flavours we send the Hungarian saying: Little talk and a long sausage will do you good.

Beyond the exceptional gastronomical experience, this festival will also offers a spectacular yet relaxed cultural atmosphere. Throught the weekend entertainment will be provided by the very best of this summer's Street Music Festival which was held in the Trans-Danubian city of Veszprém. The programme includes award winning artists as well as the finest of Hungarian jazz and folk music.

So, we would like to send you our warm invitation, and are hoping to welcome you at the Budapest Palinka and Sausage Festival
