Zona Taxi Goes Legal Over Budapest Airport Deal
"Zona Taxi, which provides exclusive taxi services for Ferihegy airport, has filed a criminal complaint in response to Budapest Airport’s (BA) announcement earlier this month that it will terminate its contract with Zona.

The taxi consortium alleges that BA broke the law by inviting rival firms for consultations whilst a contract to provide taxi services in and out of Ferihegy airport still existed with Zona.

A fortnight ago BA invited City Taxi, 6x6, Fotaxi and Budapest Taxi to make offers to provide exclusive taxi services for Ferihegy.

BA spokesman Mihaly Hardy denied Zona’s allegations, saying it is not against the law to hold consultations with taxi companies before inviting a new tender."
