Rebirth Of Budapest's Castle Gardens
The southern tip of the Buda Castle Hill in District 1 will be completely renovated, beginning this month, in the framework of an EUR 31-million project by Swietelsky-WHB and the local municipality, emphasizing the tradition and heritage of the location. Underground parking, escalators to the Royal Palace on the hill, elevators to the Castle Terraces overlooking the river, a new tram stop, the line of Castle Bazaar Shops, a pier for Danube boats, and space for 300 daily tourist buses will be completed by Spring 2014.

The once vibrant promenade terraces of the aristocracy in a fabulous location currently lie in ruins and are deserted. The citizens of Buda will once again be proud of this part of town.
