Those include the renovation and northward extension of Pest’s “blue” metro line, the renovation and extension of the Millennium underground line, the renovation of the Chain Bridge and Városháza tér, and the renovation of Széll Kálmán tér, among others.

Socialist deputy leader on city council Kata Tüttõ said the plans are “another chapter in a Budapest fairy tale,” adding that the projects benefit a small group rather than the people of Budapest.
