British airline Jet2.com today announced further commitment to Hungary with the launch of its summer 2014 schedule from Budapest Airport. Famous for its friendly service, allocated seats and 22kg baggage allowance – Jet2.com’s low fares to cities in England and Scotland are now available for travel through to November 2014.

From next May, the number of flights to Manchester will be increased from four flights per week to a daily service (excluding Saturdays). The additional flights will make it even easier for business and leisure customers to travel to Manchester, the popular British capital of sport, music and fashion.

Edinburgh - the setting for world-famous movies and historic castles – is already hugely admired by Hungarians visiting Scotland for short breaks. Jet2.com’s low fares to Edinburgh can now be booked through to November 2014.

East Midlands (Nottingham) is the airline’s newest destination from Budapest. Commencing November 2013, flights will now operate year-round. Fly to East Midlands for the Central England cities of Leicester, Derby and Nottingham – home to the legend of Robin Hood.

Steve Heapy, Chief Executive of Jet2.com, said: “Budapest is an important part of Jet2.com’s network - and we are delighted to be extending our commitment to Hungary with more than 50% growth in the number of flights to be operated next summer. Our new route to East Midlands opens in November and joins our existing line-up of low fares to Edinburgh and Manchester, offering even more choice to our loyal customers in Hungary.”

Kam Jandu, Director of Aviation at Budapest Airport said “We are delighted that Jet2.com have decided to operate a new route from/to East Midlands. Not only will this have a positive impact on the local economy but it will provide the people of Budapest a much needed link to Central England.”

Jet2.com flights to the UK are available for immediate booking on the airline’s Hungarian website www.jet2.com.
