Left’s Budapest Mayor Candidate Pledges Safety, Innovation, Accountability
Ferenc Falus, candidate of the leftist parties for Budapest mayor in the upcoming municipal elections, highlighted safety, innovation and accountability as the main characteristics of his electoral programme, which he revealed on Friday.

Speaking at a press conference, Falus said that he would work to make transport safer, which requires speeding up the renovation of the M3 metro line, and the extension of the new M4 line.

As for public safety, he said that he would improve the situation through organising a civic service. If elected as mayor, Falus will offer tax incentives to promote large investments in Budapest, and ensure transparency of public procurement.
