See What Happened @ International Festival, American International School Of Budapest
The International Festival at the American International School of Budapest that took place on Sunday, April 19th in Nagykovácsi, had the pleasure to host an increasing number of visitors to previous events. This years festival is one of the most successful community building events of its kind ever held at the school. Here is what some of the visitors had to say...

“The first thing one notices is how well organized the event is - starting from the parking. I arrived around noon and expected to have to drive around looking in vain for a spot but there was plenty of parking as well as helpful staff to guide me to a place. Also, while walking through the car park I was struck by variety of license plates ranging from Principality of Monaco, UK, Swiss, Russian, German, Polish, etc.

I immediately knew this was truly going to be an international event. This view was confirmed when I stepped into the main gymnasium and saw the crowds of visitors and the extraordinary diversity of country food booths. It was difficult to choose what to eat but I settled on some delicious authentic lasagna from Chef Aurelio at the Italian Booth – I was not disappointed.

The slightly chilly weather didn’t seem to deter the kids from enjoying the many outdoor activities on hand. I must admit as an Englishman in Hungary who doesn’t speak the language I was delighted to discover the used English book sale organized by the Middle School as a fundraiser for the dog shelter they support. The eclectic collection of used books, DVDs and CDs on offer at bargain prices was impressive. I ending up spending a half hour at the book sale alone and bought several books. Clearly, a lot of hard work went into organizing the festival day and this was rewarded with a successful, and very well attended event.”

"Dear PSA,

I want to thank you for the wonderful international festival on Sunday. I have been at this school for four years and this has been the best one ever. I especially want to thank you for the new activities, such as the skateboard one. The Lab skate shop brought some ramps and set up a little both outside for us to buy some skate gear. This activity was a really big success, their were lots of kids skating. It was a great time to skate with some professional skateboarders and to learn new tricks.

Thank you for this amazing event.

M, Grade 8"
