Lacoste Opens Flagship Store On Fashion Street
Lacoste opened its Hungarian flagship store on Budapest’s Fashion Street, owned by Immobilia Plc., after relocating to the new 120 sqm space with the assistance of real estate advisor Cushman and Wakefield (C&W), the advisor said today in a press release.

Lacoste Hungary opened its first store on Fashion Street in 2007 and last year it decided to expand to a larger unit, the press release noted. Lacoste believes the new location will help the brand gain exposure to the Budapest retail market, according to the press statement.

“The fact that Lacoste choose to open its new flagship store on Fashion Street is a great success for the project as the brand is represented in the best locations in all core cities of the world,” Viktória Szabó, partner, head of retail at Cushman & Wakefield in Budapest said.

“With this new transaction we can say that Lacoste is one of the most loyal tenants of Fashion Street, as it has been represented here since the very beginning,” László Balázs, CEO at Immobilia Plc. said.

“We spent our energy and concentration on restructuring the operation in 2015. Budapest and Fashion Street are key locations to build up our vision … our aim is to invest further in the best locations all around the country,” Hasan Hakan Oner, CEO at CEE Lacoste said.

C&W has been the exclusive retail leasing agent and property manager of Fashion Street since 2005.
