Video: May Day 'Great Race' In Budapest
Tens of thousands of people lined the Budapest banks of the Danube to watch the car, motor sport and air show called Nagy Futam (Great Race) in downtown Budapest last Sunday. As part of the show, three planes twice flew under the Chain Bridge simultaneously. The stunt was spectacular but nearly ended badly, because on both occasions one of the planes flew too low and bounced off the Danube.

Hungarian stunt pilot Zoltán Veres and two South African pilots performed the risky manoeuvre (video above).

This was the fourth time that the people of Budapest could watch Formula One cars speeding along the streets of the city on a track installed between the Chain Bridge and the Erzsébet bridge.

A minor accident occurred at the end of the car show, as a Ferrari car touched a cordon with its rear wing, causing a fence to strike five spectators.
