Bus Traffic To Buda Castle Temporarily Limited
Due to the reconstruction, the Castle District Municipality have temporarily limited the tour bus traffic until 31 October 2016. During this period only 8 tour buses will be allowed to be in the Castle at the same time for a 10 minute long period each.

On the assignment of the Government of Hungary, reconstruction work is being carried out in Buda Castle Royal Palace. Due to the reconstruction, the Castle District Municipality have temporarily limited the tour bus traffic until 31 October 2016. During the reconstruction, pedestrian traffic will be undisturbed. During this period only 8 tour buses will be allowed to be in the Castle at the same time for a 10 minute long period each.

The tour buses will be allowed to enter the Castle after registration, and with an individual registration number. There will be four assigned pick-up and drop-off points.

The buses will be allowed to enter the Castle of Buda only via the Ybl Miklós Square – Lánchíd Street – Clark Ádám Street - Hunyadi János Street route. The registration will take place at the M0 point (BUS REGISTRATION). Pedestrian entry to the Castle will also be possible from this point through the Castle Garden Bazaar.

Buses will be able to enter the Castle through the entry gate on Hunyadi János Street. At the intersection of Hunyadi János Street and Dísz Square (M1, M2) and at the intersection of Dísz Square and Palota Street (M3, M4) two terminal points will be available for the buses, respectively (DROP-OFF POINT). Upon entry to the Castle the vehicles will only be allowed to stop for the duration of passengers alighting the bus, then they will be required to leave the drop-off points.

The buses will only be allowed to park in the assigned PARKING ZONE (look for the P1, P2, P3 signs) in Dózsa György Square and will be allowed to leave for the Castle to pick up passengers after the parking attendants' signal. Please make sure that the individual registration number is placed visibly behind the windscreen. The passengers will be required to wait for the pick-up together along with their tour guide at the assigned M5, M6, M7 and M8 (PICK-UP POINT) points. After the passengers finished boarding, the buses will be required to leave the Castle.

The traffic restriction will apply between 7 am to 7 pm every day. Between 7 pm and 11 pm buses will be allowed to enter the Castle without any restriction.

The Castle of Buda is a national heritage. We hope that reconstruction and the presented plans have convinced you about it and you will return to the renewed Buda Castle Royal Palace.
