'Food Not Bombs', Budapest, 4 March
'Food Not Bombs Budapest' is part of an international movement, independent from religions and party politics. Organisers say, "we save food from ending up in the waste and share hot, free, vegan/vegetarian meals with those in need, while peacefully demonstrating against poverty, homelessness and overproduction: with our actions we also want to raise attention of these negative aspects of the current socio-economical system."

"With food saving we would like to act against the mass problem of food wasting and overconsumption. Serving vegan/vegetarian meals also means that we support enviromental friendly ways to feed the people instead of meat consuming.

As we can save more food on the markets than we can use up on Sundays, we created a new cooking and food action called 'More than Meal', scheduled for every other Saturday. On the 'More than Meal' actions, we go around in the streets and undergrounds nearby and serving our hot meal to the poor."

Community Cooking

Starts: 12:00 PM on 4 March

Location: Élesztő, Tűzoltó u. 22.

The meal is basically from our prepared frozen and reserved stuff from the markets.

Food Sharing

After we take the meal to the boxes, we share it with the poor around the streets and undergrounds of the district.
