Orbán Announces Projects For Győr
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán signed a Ft 60 billion co-operation agreement with mayor Zsolt Borkai in Gyõr on Friday as part of the Modern Cities Programme.

The prime minister stressed that the cabinet paid off the city’s Ft 7.8 billion debt and in recent years allocated Ft 230 billion to Gyõr.

The main items in the agreement are a bridge to be built over the Mosoni-Danube river at a cost of Ft 7 billion, the Gyõr bus and railway stations will be connected and the town’s National Theatre and its vicinity will be renewed.

In addition, a circular motorway will be completed, a secondary road will be upgraded, and Gyõr and Pannonhalma will be connected by a new bicycle path.
