Patient Waits 18 Hours At ER
A patient had to wait 18 hours at the emergency ward of Budapest’s Jahn Ferenc hospital, RTL Klub reported on Monday. The patient and an acquaintance arrived at the hospital at 4 p.m., but had to wait for their turn until 10.45 a.m. the following day.

Patients said that was not a rare occurrence at the hospital as many people spend the night lying on the ground or on chairs.

The hospital made no statement. The State Health Care Centre, however, said that on average 100 patients receive medical treatment at the emergency ward a day and the doctors are doing their best to provide high-standard treatment.
