St Paddy’s Day Parade On Sunday
The warm-hearted Irish in Budapest invite you to attend the annual St Patrick’s Day Parade this Sunday. The gathering will take place at 1.30pm, in Szabadság tér once again, the parade itself starts at 3pm. This popular expat community event brings together 1000’s of families, friends and tourists to 'be green for a day' to celebrate St Paddy at this child-friendly parade.

On St Patrick’s Day it is customary to wear shamrocks and/or green clothing or accessories (the “wearing of the green”).

St Patrick is said to have used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagan Irish.

The local St Paddy's after-party is at Fogashaz-Instant from 4pm.
