Video: 'Great Race' On May 1st
Race cars, performance motorbikes and some special trucks will speed through the heart of the Hungarian capital on May Day. This annual 'Nagy Futam' event aims to bring motor sport 'closer to the people'.

Budapest's 'Great Race' has proven to deliver a spectacular sight for both existing fans of stars like Gerhard Berger, and also spectators who may never have visited a motor sport race circuit.

Read on for a detailed program from the organisers - featuring not only fast cars but also an air show, plus autocross, rallycross, truck and drift racers - local drivers be aware that during the event parts of Budapest will be closed to regular traffic.

Monday 30 April:

10.00 – 20.00 – Paddock visit – Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Road at the Basilica

Tuesday 1 May

10.00 – 10.30 Pilots, race course test: Chase Carey and Gerhard Berger
10.30 – 10..40 – DTM – Rene Rast  and Timo Glock
10.40 – 10.55 – Aston Martin RedBull Racing – Max Verstappen
11.00 – 11.35 – Introduction of cars, autocross, rallycross, terrain, rally, truck and drift racers
11.35 – 11.45 – Oldtimer show
