Budapest Aiming To Be Regional Fashion Center
One of the biggest fashion events in Central Europe, the Budapest Central European Fashion Week (BCEFW), attracted a full house audience at the end of April. The show hosted designers from Hungary and abroad.

The aim of the BCEFW, held April 27-29, was to support both famous designers and young talents, with graduates of design schools also given the opportunity to present their creations, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

The event hosted foreign guests such as LaFormela, Nah-Nu, Jiri Kalfar, Ioana Ciolacu, Footshop and Omelya T-dress, while the Hungarian design scene was represented by Péter Mérő, Cukovy, Sentiments, Maison Marquise, Abodi, Sugarbird, Dorko, Celeni, Tomcsányi, Nubu, Katti Zoób, Nanushka, Nora Sarman, Zsigmond Dóra, Je Suis Belle and Artista.

Zsófia Bata-Jakab, director for the fashion industry at the Hungarian Tourism Agency, claimed that the event was the first step towards making Budapest the regional fashion center of Central Europe.
