Robot Performs First Brain Surgery In Hungary
Brain surgery was performed with the help of a robot for the first time in Hungary, and in Central and Eastern Europe for that matter, more than a month ago, Dr. Loránd Erőss, head of the Functional Neurosurgery Ward at the National Clinics Neurology Institute, said at a press conference on Tuesday.

The medical intervention was not only more accurate but also speedier with the use of the robot, he said.

Electrodes alleviating the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease were planted with the help of the top-category neurosurgery robot ROSA into the head of a 65-year-old patient at the Institute.

The operation was led by Dr. Erőss.
