Brit Ambassador's 'UltraBalaton Run' To Support Hungarian Child Abuse Victims
Members of the British Embassy Budapest, including Ambassador Iain Lindsay, will take part in the UltraBalaton running race supporting the Hungarian Interchurch Aid’s team to help underprivileged and abused children attend a summer camp.

Founded in 1991, Hungarian Interchurch Aid is one of the largest internationally recognized charity organizations in Hungary, providing assistance to people with disabilities and disadvantages in accordance with the most stringent professional and transparency requirements.

The "DON'T ONLY CHEER!" campaign of HIA was launched to encourage athletes and their friends, family members to act and donate by running. Similarly to recent years, supporters will be present in more mass sports events in 2018.

For example in the first half of the year, supporters will take part in the Ultrabalaton and the 25th K&H Move Marathon and Half-Marathon and help collect HUF 1 million for the organisation of summer camps in the "Cloudless Childhood" program.

For the fifth time camps are being held to help disadvantaged and abused children. With your support, you can contribute to improve the lives of children who are victims of abuse and/or are living in deep poverty.

The goal is to give the children a chance to get out of the difficult everyday life and to provide them with a chance to spend an unforgettable holiday with lots of sports, games, and entertainment and development programs

The organisers place great emphasis on the transparent use of donations, which is also guaranteed by KPMG's audit, and they promise that in every case they inform donors about the use of donations.
