Gov’t Office Launches Procedure Against Ryanair
The 'Budapest Government Office' launched a procedure against low-fare airline Ryanair, the office told MTI. Government commissioner István György initiated an investigation into a recent series of incidents related to luggage management involving the consumer protection department of the office, the statement said.

The Hungarian Federation of Consumer Protection Associations (FEOSZ) told MTI on Monday that Ryanair had treated Hungarian consumers unfairly by failing to perform its contractual obligations that passengers paid for and is liable for compensation payment to consumers over late delivery of luggage.

In recent weeks Ryanair’s flights from Budapest to Las Palmas failed to carry some passengers’ checked-in luggage, citing overload of the aircraft.
