Jewish Gastro Day: 'Cholent Festival', Budapest, 26 August
The only real kosher gastrofestival in Budapest. Discover the real Jewish community life at the last weekend of the summer. In 2018 the popular Jewish gastro festival is organized for the fourth time, in the heart of the downtown, on Kazinczy Street.

Participants not only have the opportunity to choose from four different kinds of cholents, but they can also taste other traditional Jewish foods and drinks from all over the world which are under the strict supervision of the Rabbinat.

Furthermore, they can get an insight into the mysteries of kosher cuisine and Jewish life at the festival organized by the Unified Hungarian Jewish Congregation (EMIH).

Beside gastronomic experiences, Jewish tunes can be enjoyed thanks to the Klezmer bands playing music during the whole day.

Free event.

Date and time:

Sunday, 26 August, 11 am – 9 pm

Venue:

1075 Budapest, Kazinczy Street – between Király and Wesselényi Streets
