Memorial Blood Drive, Red Cross Budapest Headquarters, 11 September
On the 17th anniversary of 9/11, the U.S. Embassy and the Hungarian Red Cross are organizing a blood drive to honor the victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and to commemorate Patriot Day and the National Day of Service and Remembrance.

Any adult aged 18-65 with a body weight exceeding 50kgs (110 lbs) may be able to donate blood. You will be required to present an ID, a social security card, and proof of address in Hungary.

Please check out the National Blood Supply Service (OVSZ) website (in Hungarian only), for further eligibility and guidance on who can be a blood donor in Hungary.

In 2018, we will thank our donors with a unique 9/11 blood donor pin. Meal vouchers and soft drinks will be provided to our volunteer blood donors by Burger King and Coca-Cola.

If you miss this opportunity, please note that  ILEA and NOK/ITC will organize another 9/11 memorial blood drive between 10 AM – 1 PM on September 18, 2018. Location: Budapest, XII. ker, Böszörményi út 21., ILEA Student Center.

Date and time: September 11, 10 am – 2 pm

Venue:
