Eco-Friendly Washable Bags Coming To Hungary For Groceries
Lidl Magyarország will offer reusable bags for packaging fruits, vegetables and bakery products in its 185 shops in Hungary from November 5, the discount retail chain announced on Monday.

In addition to introducing reusable bags, Lidl continues to optimise the packaging of its products by switching to alternative materials or using less plastic, the company said.

The reusable bags can carry products weighing up to 5kg and can be cleaned in a washing machine. A pack of two costs Ft 229.

Lidl aims to cut its plastic usage by 20% by 2025 and make the packaging of all of its own brand products fully recyclable.
