Budapest’s 1st District To Ban E-Scooters
According to plans it will be forbidden to rent or park electric scooters in Budapest’s First District.

Local representative Dániel Varga said on the district’s official Facebook page that e-scooters often lie abandoned on pavements and even bushes, marring the district’s public spaces.

Moreover, he continued, the practice of abandoning scooters is dangerous and annoying, so the district decided to resolve the issue with a new regulation that will enter into force sometime this autumn.

Budapest's MOL Bubi bike-sharing system won't vanish during the holidays. The current setup ends officially on December 23, but a pilot program keeps the green bikes available until mid-February. Starting December 24, grab a MOL Bubi Pilot pass for HUF 500 (about €1.30). It covers 30-minute rides and stays valid through February 15, no matter when you buy it—solid value for quick winter trips around the city.
