Hungary’s 4th Largest City Miskolc Eases Mask Regulation
It is no longer compulsory to wear a mask outdoors in Miskolc from Tuesday, mayor Pál Veres announced.

“Miskolc has proved to be disciplined, wise and persistent in both spring and autumn”, he declared.

Mask wearing remains obligatory at bus and tram stops, in markets, at entrances to nurseries and kindergartens, and remains mandatory in enclosed spaces.

Although the city’s official epidemiological statistics are not known to the public, nor to the city management, there are currently 21,131 registered infected people in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county.

Kecskemét has also eased the rules of mask use from February 8, mayor Klaudia Pataki announced on her Facebook page.

She added that the city’s rules had been the strictest in the country.
