Budapest’s Las Vegas Casino Reported For Lockdown Violations
Momentum president András Fekete-Győr is reporting Budapest’s Las Vegas Casino for violation of epidemiological regulations, based on an article by Telex.

Separately, LMP MP Péter Ungár will submit a bill to Parliament to ensure that casinos should not be treated differently than restaurants during the lockdown.

Telex reported with a video on Tuesday morning that 80-120 people were standing in a not very large closed space in the Las Vegas Casino in central Pest, interpreting the epidemiological restrictions rather loosely, and many were not wearing masks.

The media often asks the cabinet why casinos can stay open while restaurants, bars and public institutions are obliged to be closed. The usual answer is that casinos are not considered restaurants and as long as they observe the regulations they can remain open.

“To them, this is about money and power”, Fekete-Győr said. “Casinos enrich Fidesz straw men, and this overrides all epidemiological considerations.”

Casinos should be closed until the end of the epidemic and severe fines should be imposed on them for violating regulations, he declared.
