Budapest’s General Assembly has approved sweeping restrictions on outdoor advertising that will reduce the number of advertising spaces across the capital by around 10,000, from roughly 15,000 currently.
The embassies of 36 countries and eight foreign cultural institutes in Hungary issued a joint statement on Monday ahead of the 31st Budapest Pride parade, which is being held on Saturday, welcoming the new government's position that "Hungary is a home for all Hungarians, and everyone should feel they have a place in the nation."
Hungary's Interior Minister has dismissed Budapest Police Chief Tamás Terdik, according to an announcement reported by the national news agency MTI.
Women now make up 27.1 percent of Hungary’s National Assembly, Speaker of Parliament Ágnes Forsthoffer said on Thursday.
