Fines Proposed for Badly Parked E-Scooters in Budapest
A fine of Ft 5,000 may be imposed from summer onwards for micromobility devices parked in public places in several inner districts of Budapest, such as rented bicycles and electric scooters, city council decided on Wednesday.

All but one of the 28 council members voted for the proposal.

The regulation will enter into force on June 1 in the Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth districts, while in some other areas it will be introduced on July 1 and October 1.

Designated parking places will be made available for the devices.
