Replacing the Google Pay app, Google Wallet allows users to store and manage their payment cards, gift cards, loyalty cards, event tickets and ID cards in one place.

The system is operative in 39 countries, now including Hungary.

Google Wallet first appeared more than a decade ago, but was relaunched as Android Pay in 2015 and Google Pay in 2018; now it has returned to its original name, Portfolio observes.

It can be used in Hungary with many bank cards but OTP is a Google Wallet  exception for the time being.
