Many Ski Slopes in Hungary to Stay Closed
Of Hungary’s nine ski slopes with lifts, only those in Eplény, Mátraszentistván, Visegrád, Sátoraljaújhely, Bánkút and Pécs will open for the winter season, ski news website Sielők reports.

The Kékestető Ski Centre  - pictured above - cannot open for technical reasons, because it could not solve problems with the water supply for the snow cannons.

The ski resort in the Mátra Mountains also could not open in the 2021-22 season.

The ski slope in Dobogókö has been struggling with a lack of snow for years and will not open for the coming season, because the old lift has already been removed, but the construction of a new one has not yet begun.

The small ski slope in Szilvásvárad will also not open this winter.
