Minimum Wage in Hungary Second Lowest in EU
The minimum monthly wage in Hungary was €579 in January, the second lowest in the EU after Bulgaria, where it was €399, according to Eurostat data.

A year ago Hungary’s minimum wage was higher than those of Romania and Latvia, as well as Bulgaria.

Comparing net wages, the monthly minimum is Ft 152,950 in Hungary and Ft 157,000 in Romania.

In terms of purchasing power parity, Hungary occupies the sixth lowest place in the overall ranking with €947.91, the same as the Czech figure.

The respective figures are €1,274 in Poland, €1,109 in Romania and €780 in Slovakia.
