Top Football Players’ Average Salaries Increase to Nearly HUF 4 Million
First division Hungarian football clubs spent €54.4 million on players’ salaries in the 2021-22 season, according to a report issued by the European Football Federation (UEFA).

This means that the average salary of players in Hungary’s top league was Ft 3.8 million, up from Ft 2.8 million in the previous season.

Website Menedzsment Fórum writes that the Ferencváros, Székesfehérvár and Puskás Akadémia clubs probably pull the average upwards, as they can offer the highest salaries.

The annual budgets of the 12 first division teams vary between Ft 1.5 billion and Ft 10-12 billion.

Regarding all employees, the top flight clubs spent a total of €93 million on salaries, which puts Hungarian clubs in 18th place in Europe, ahead of Norway.

In the region Austrian and Polish clubs spend more, but the latter only by €3 million which means that Hungarian clubs could overtake them as early as next year.
