Ministry Signs Partnership Agreement With AmCham Hungary
János Bóka, the minister in charge of European affairs, said that he had signed a strategic partnership agreement on behalf of his ministry with AmCham Hungary, the American Chamber of Commerce in Hungary.

Bóka said on Facebook that the agreement aimed to ensure that direct consultations result in increasingly good quality and effective legal regulations that are well matched to living circumstances and public life in the areas that belong to the minister’s spheres of responsibility.

The Hungarian presidency has received the authorisation of the European Council to prepare a new European competiveness pact, he said.

A competitive Europe is not possible without the contribution of the business sector, he added.

The presidency will maintain continual dialogue about the need of a European industrial policy and how the green transition can be implemented in a way that it indeed makes Europe’s industry greener instead of damaging it.

Reducing the administrative burdens caused by EU rules, detailed legislative impact studies and effective consultation with economic players are important for making Europe’s competitiveness stronger, he said.
