Hungary Near Top in EU Job Satisfaction Statistics

Job satisfaction was the highest in Cyprus, followed by Romania and Finland (7.9 points on a scale of 10). Hungary ranked fifth, with job satisfaction standing at 7.8 points. People were least satisfied with their jobs in Bulgaria (6.2), followed by Greece (6.8) and France (7.1). The EU average is 7.4 points.
In Hungary, those with less than primary, primary and lower secondary education, or upper secondary and post-secondary non-tertiary education were somewhat less satisfied (7.3 and 7.7 points) with their jobs than those with tertiary education (8.0 points).
In terms of males and females, men were just a little ahead of women in terms of job satisfaction (7.8 points on all education levels compared to 7.7 points).
The European Union Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC) collects timely and comparable multidimensional microdata on income, poverty, social exclusion, and living conditions.
The EU-SILC collection is a key instrument for providing information required by the European Semester and the European Pillar of Social Rights, and the main source of data for microsimulation purposes and flash estimates of income distribution and poverty rates.
