Hungary Near Top in EU Job Satisfaction Statistics
Eurostat has released statistics regarding job satisfaction in EU Member States, surveying people on multiple educational levels and by gender. Hungary managed to earn a prestigious place in the ranking, showing that people are quite satisfied with their jobs here.

Job satisfaction was the highest in Cyprus, followed by Romania and Finland (7.9 points on a scale of 10). Hungary ranked fifth, with job satisfaction standing at 7.8 points. People were least satisfied with their jobs in Bulgaria (6.2), followed by Greece (6.8) and France (7.1). The EU average is 7.4 points.

In Hungary, those with less than primary, primary and lower secondary education, or upper secondary and post-secondary non-tertiary education were somewhat less satisfied (7.3 and 7.7 points) with their jobs than those with tertiary education (8.0 points).

In terms of males and females, men were just a little ahead of women in terms of job satisfaction (7.8 points on all education levels compared to 7.7 points).

The European Union Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC) collects timely and comparable multidimensional microdata on income, poverty, social exclusion, and living conditions.

The EU-SILC collection is a key instrument for providing information required by the European Semester and the European Pillar of Social Rights, and the main source of data for microsimulation purposes and flash estimates of income distribution and poverty rates.

Hungary Today

Appearing online long after XpatLoop.com this ‘government related’ source states its aim as "to provide a complete, unbiased picture of Hungary”. It continues by acknowledging this “does not necessarily mean that our writers do not have their own opinions, sometimes reflected to a degree in the articles they publish” - and so it's really worth readers here keeping that in mind. Another stated aim is to become ‘the leading English-language news portal of Hungary’, a position held for well over 20 years by good old independent XpatLoop! Still our team has no issue with positively highlighting one or two useful articles published by Hungary Today - with their permission - for your interest.
