Free French Street Party in Budapest on 12 July
On the occasion of the French national holiday, the French Institute in Budapest will once again organise its traditional street ball, this year on July 12th.

The free, outdoor event offers music, dance and culinary programs from the afternoon until late at night, all the while 'guaranteeing a Parisian atmosphere', the organisers told MTI.

The event will begin at 5 p.m. with a French folk playhouse, the Tesz-Vesz Youth and Children's Foundation will prepare wooden skill and logic games for those interested.

The artists of Mothers Back will be holding a playful dance class, and French blues musician Anais Rosso will be coming to the event from France, creating a hybrid, unique soundscape on the border of blues, opera, electronica and baroque music.

Mónika Lakatos and her Folk Trio will play a concert, entertaining those attending with Vlach Gypsy songs and music from other nations, MTI also reports.

DJ Sanyi will close the evening with a set ranging from French music from the sixties to carnival rhythms.

In addition to all this, visitors will be able to taste various French dishes and delicacies at the free event.
