Huge EU Funding Still Arriving in Hungary

In his speech at the handover ceremony for EU-funded tourism developments around Simontornya Castle, to the east of Lake Balaton, Navracsics said: "We hear self-proclaimed prophets and ambitious politicians claim every day they'll bring EU funds back to Hungary ... yet hardly a day goes by without our inaugurating one investment or another made possible by EU funds."
Recently, another 200 billion forint package arrived from Brussels, enabling further developments, he said.
"And so we are making steady progress." From town to town, new EU-funded projects that contribute to Hungary's strength and competitiveness are under way, he added.
