Merkel will talk about her governance which ran for 16 years in her memoir and about how, as a woman from East Germany she reached the pinnacle of the Christian Democratic Union party and became Germany’s first female chancellor.

Merkel will sign copies of her book at the event in the CEU building.

Several tickets are available. The least expensive one costs Ft 25,000 but there is a variant which carries a copy of the book and a toast with the chancellor, costing Ft 50,000.
