Summer Harvest Completed in Hungary - Expectations Exceeded

Crop yields of all summer cereals as well as rapeseed exceeded the five-year averages, the minister said. Autumn wheat yielded 5.55 tonnes/hectare and autumn barley had an average yield of 5.7 tonnes/hectare.
The amount of crops necessary for domestic supply will be harvested in the 2025-2026 season, and around a million tonnes will be available for exports, the minister said.
The sowing area of autumn wheat is up 5.9pc this year from a year earlier, he added.
