Car-Free Weekend Ahead in Budapest
A car-free weekend will be arranged in downtown Budapest on Saturday and Sunday, the Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) announced.

Accordingly, the BKK and its co-operating partners will provide visitors with programmes popularising environmental awareness and sustainable transport from Kálvin tér to the Buda head of the Szabadság Bridge, as well as on the Pest lower riverside road.

The Szabadság Bridge and Vámház körút will be closed as far as Lónyai utca.

Motorised vehicles will be banned from the Jane Haining riverside road and the lower riverside road in Pest between Margit Bridge and Közraktár utca.
