Free Family Fun: 'Győrkőc Festival' Starts in Győr, 4 - 6 July

There will be concerts at the Medenceszínpad on Radó Island and a juggling show. The official opening will be held in the evening, when the mayor will hand over the keys to the city to the children. A ball party will be held after the key-giving ceremony.
During the three days of the festival, wristbands will be available for collection at the Győrkőc Center in Bécsikapu Square, in exchange for just a smile.
There will also be a Hungaricum playhouse, recycled skill games, a puppet theater, and you can try out the crime prevention games of the Győr-Moson-Sopron County Police Headquarters.
Also on Bécsikapu Square, Fess Street will be set up, where children can make their favorite toy or a floating vehicle. Sculptor Márton Szabó will create an installation out of clay based on Dezső Kosztolányi's poem "The Game" with the involvement of children. It will be possible to color the members of the Vaskakas Puppet Theatre company, knead colorful dough and paint pebbles.
On the Rába Double Bridge - which will be transformed into the Magic Bridge for the weekend - you can try out tray and ancient board games, and anyone can transform into a ballerina, circus director or lion tamer.
The Scientist's Harbor will be set up at Várágyúk, where, among other things, you will be able to visit the interactive exhibition titled The Wonders of Physics, there will be an experience workshop and a giant labyrinth.
In the southern part of Radó Island, on the Vers-Játszó-Tér, poetry will play a leading role.
Among the creators of contemporary literature, Péter Nyulász, Krisztina Tóth, Dániel Varró, Lilla Turbuly and András Dániel are waiting for the children to play together and collect poems. The poems received from the poets can then be illustrated and then put into a book. There will also be a poetry and song activity, and children can compile their own magazine or exchange their books.
Also on the southern part of Radó Island, there will be a Fairytale Town, where children can enjoy games of skill, jousting, cloud hunting and a mini circus. In addition, on Saturday and Sunday, the program will also include a puppet theater, a fairy tale performance, a stilt walk show and a concert.
In the northern part of Radó Island, in the village of Győrkőc, there will be games of skill and folk fun, eco- and nostalgia games, and you can also try out rope-wrenching, embroidery, pottery and even forging a small horseshoe.
In the northern part of Radó Island, in the Babakert, the Vidám Kölykök Association and the Gézengúz Foundation welcome the little ones with sensitizing activities and a movement-developing adventure park.
Széchenyi Square will once again be transformed into Hullámtér, where water will play a major role. There will be a bubble show, you can try out water-related professions, you can pedal on artificially created boating lakes, but you can also try mini-bowling and various boat games.
According to the organizers, about 11,000 children participated in the programs last year, and nearly 30,000 people, including accompanying adults, visited the festival.
