Kum Nye Tibetan yoga meditation at East West Sanctuary, Nagykovacsi

Introduction to Kum Nye Tibetan Yoga Practice

Saturday October 17th, East West Sanctuary, Nagykovacsi

Led by Sinhagupta

Kum Nye is an ancient body meditation practice that is grounded in a system of healing transmitted for nearly 1200 years within the Buddhist culture of Tibet.

‘Kum’ means body or embodiment, ‘Nye’ means massage or interaction. In Kum Nye we engage in a process by which subtle feeling tones are released so that they flow freely throughout the body, integrating the mental and the physical. We can release tensions or blockages, harmonising different aspects of our being.

Tibetan medicine, like Indian Ayurveda, is based on the concept that health depends on a delicate balance of vital life forces. Negative thoughts, harmful actions, improper behaviours and inappropriate diet cause humoral imbalances and energy blockages, resulting in physical diseases and mental and emotional blockages.

Not only is it a healing practice, but continued practice can lead to insight into the connection between our inner and outer world and lead to freedom and happiness in one’s daily life. Our habitual ways of seeing the world drop away, and we become more alive to ourselves and to one another.

These practices provide a powerful means of self-transformation, and can be utilised as part of other therapeutic or spiritual practices. It is a core practice at the EWS.

During this day, you will be introduced to some of the different Kum Nye movement practices, and the Buddhist insights behind it.
Please book before October 10th to secure a place.
Saturday October 17 10.00 – 5.00

Hellinger Systemic Constellations Retreat at the East West Sanctuary
November 12/13

Facilitators: Anna Magee (Systemic Constellations)
Sinhagupta (Meditation, kum nye yoga)

Escape the pressures of Budapest, and come and relax and in the supportive and welcoming conditions at the East West sanctuary - a growing international community.
Family Systems work is a powerful, profoundly moving but gentle way of gaining greater understanding into ourselves and the issues that affect our lives. Using Bert Hellinger’s insights and his methodology of creating a ‘constellation’, we can see how hidden loyalties and identifications (entanglements) within the family systems can give rise to repeating patterns of suffering or loss that can continue to affect family members through many generations.

The experience of pulling back from attainment or success in life, of not belonging or self-sabotaging behaviours such as addictions may be ways that we unconsciously re-create the difficult fate of others in our family. When such unconscious identifications are brought into awareness and fully understood in their right context, they may be transformed by the work into a life-enhancing resource and we can feel connected to our family systems by deep structures of love rather than patterns of suffering.
You can come to either or both of the 2 days at a cost of 10000 forints per day, or participate for the entire retreat.
