Court Okays Fidesz Referendum Drive
"The Constitutional Court on Monday approved three questions submitted by Fidesz for a referendum drive. Once Fidesz collects the necessary 200,000 signatures, as is widely expected, voters can have their say on post-secondary tuition fees and the fees for visits to doctors and hospitals. Fidesz chairman Viktor Orbán announced the referendum initiative at a rally last October 23.

"Népszabadság online wrongly reported on Monday evening that former prime minister Gyula Horn had died. The report was posted on the nol.hu site for less than a minute. The website then apologised to its readers and to Horn, Népszabadság reports. An internal inquiry has begun.

Clinton in Budapest: 'Health Care Not Strictly Business'
"Former US President Bill Clinton said in a 30-minute lecture at a function held at the Central European Business Centre on Saturday evening that “a health insurance system should not operate solely on business grounds anywhere in the world,” and that in his opinion Hungary should choose a model under which all will be insured.
