Around 200 local Xpats celebrated the 15th Birthday Party of the BBJ at the local Kempinski Hotel on 7 February 2008 from 7.30pm until 10pm. 

The event featured short presentations from its new management, guest speakers wishing the paper well, dance performances, a harp player, business card draw, cocktails, Hilltop wine, soft drinks with great food and service from the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest.

"The 2008 Opera Ball, one of Budapest's most elegant community events, welcomed Richard Clayderman as the start guest on February 2nd. Guests enjoyed his company and food by Gundel (event partner) with drinks by Zwack (a main sponsor).

The social, business and political importance of the Budapest Opera Ball strengthens every year. By now, the number of international guests attending the Opera Ball exceeds any other balls in Hungary.
