July 3rd 2004- In celebration of American Independence Day, guests of many nationalities enjoyed: BBQ, drinks, Ben & Jerry's ice cream from ACI, a great band, tug-of-war, water-balloon throwing contest, Apple Pie Bake-Off and some great prizes. The third Buda Business Lunch on 25th June started in the Mithras Gallery with a cocktail reception, where Mr. Jo Gowie, General Manager of the hotel greeted the 25 VIP guests. Afterwards they were invited to the kitchen to see the hotel’s chef and his team in action.

The British Ambassador and Mrs John Nichols invited 100's of VIP guests on 16th July 2004 to celebrate the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
