Xpat Business Bites, Spoon Boat, 19 July

'Spoon The Boat Restaurant', a first-class venue on the Danube, served guests from a great range of professions with welcome bubbles, soft drinks, and delicious bites of fine-food served in their trademark spoons, plus a good few sparkling cocktails, before a lively presentation by a local GDPR expert.

‘The Actual Impact of GDPR In Hungary’ was the title of this valuable ten minute briefing by Dr. Veronika Francis-Hegedűs, of law firm BWSP Gobert & Partners, who has over seven years of legal expertise as a GDPR implementation attorney, as well as expat experience in the UK.

After her bullet-point presentation guests discussed the topic at hand, enjoyed some social networking, and further refreshments during the remaining part of this handy one hour 'bite-sized' event for busy professionals.

Feedback from guests was great, as was the calibre of those in attendance, such as respected heads of international schools, a charity president, senior diplomat, regional director, plus many company leaders and key representatives of top firms in town.

This new time-efficient business networking format was introduced by Stephen Linfitt, the publisher of XpatLoop - Hungary's leading media for the expat community, and was jointly organised by David Nemesdaróczi, Managing Director of premier tourist magazine Info Guide Hungary.
