Irish-Hungarian Business Circle / ISAS Volunteer Trip To Göd Orphanage
What do you do on a hot Saturday late in September? Relax by the banks of the Danube drinking a cool beer? Have lunch at a wonderful outdoor restaurant? Top up your suntan at one of the spectacular outdoor spas? Well, that could be an option. Or instead - what a bunch of multinational volunteers did - go on a trip to Göd.
The Irish–Hungarian Business Circle was having one of its several trips to Göd to the “TOPhaz Specialis Otthon”, an orphanage for disabled children & adults. This was to help restore the place. Volunteers were split into gardening & painting workshops, and there were guided tours of the orphanage.
It is an open event, everyone is welcome to join, no special skills required. A very touching and rewarding experience for everyone involved, volunteers and residents. Food was provided by Jack Doyles bar and the drinks were by Becketts Bar.
And if you had some energy left at the end of the day, then it was Saturday night and maybe time for a well-deserved drink or two!
