Burns Supper At Corinthia Hotel Budapest
The Robert Burns International Foundation held its 18th Annual Budapest Burns Supper at the Corinthia Hotel Budapest on Saturday. It was a traditional Scottish night in the heart of the city, with Scottish pipers and haggis flown in to give a real flavour of the highlands.
If you had never been to one of these events before, you were in for a pleasant surprise. The Corinthia Hotel, that is voted one of Hungary’s finest hotels in 2014, was the ideal setting for this grand, colourful explosion to blow the winter blues away.
Five-star dining, Scottish folk and pipe band music, whisky tasting and Scottish dancing, a blind auction, prizes galore, and these were all before midnight. Though carriages were not summoned for midnight, as these glamorous partygoers were having far too much fun to leave that early!
