"Audi Hungaria Motor Kft., the Hungarian unit of Germany's premium car maker Audi AG, has borken its annual sales record for the 13th time in 2006, producing 1,893,600 engines, 12% more than in the previous year.Audi Hungaria made 1,565,925 four-cylinder Otto and diesel engines in 2005, a 11% year-on-year growth. In 2006 it manufactured 272,205 six-cylinder engines, 12% more than in 2005. It also produced 49,627 eight-cylinder engines, 32% more than in the preceding year.
2006 was the first year when the Hungarian Audi unit manufactured ten-cylinder engines, a total of 5,843 pieces. The company made 92% more vehicles than in 2005, producing 23,669 Audi TT models, including 18,690 Audi TT Coupés and 616 new Audi TT Roadsters."
