Maxon Motor Inaugurates EUR 2.8 m Plant In Hungary
"Switzerland's maxon motor, the world's leading supplier of high-precision drive systems, inaugurated a HUF 700 million (EUR 2.79 m) plant in Veszprém (western Hungary).


maxon motor has so far invested HUF 2.6 billion in Hungary and is planning further investments worth HUF 2 bn over the next several years.

maxon motor Hungary pencilled in HUF 800 m revenues for this year, up from HUF 700 m in 2006, said factory manager Attila Szalai.

maxon motor is a Swiss company headquartered in Sachseln (Central Switzerland) that employs over 1500 staff worldwide. Its sales companies are based in over 30 countries. maxon motor has production sites at its head office in Switzerland as well as in Germany and Hungary on a total area of 16,000 sqm. It manufactures some four million units in around 12,000 variations annually. Exports to 55 countries account for about 80% of its sales. maxon motor's key markets include industrial automation, medical and security technology, communications, high end consumer applications, automotive and aerospace.

The company's consolidated turnover amounted to CHF 286.6 million in 2006."
