Now Showing In Budapest: 'Stardust'

Now Showing In Budapest: 'Stardust'
"A young man named Tristan tries to win the heart of Victoria, the beautiful but cold object of his desire, by going on a quest to retrieve a fallen star. His journey takes him to a mysterious and forbidden land beyond the walls of his village.”

Movie type: Adventure Fantasy Romantic - This is a fantasy adventure with just as much appeal to adults as it does children. In fact, some dark material and some adult material make the film less appropriate for very young children. This is an ensemble piece but fans of the three name stars should be satisfied.

Director: Matthew Vaughn

Script: Matthew Vaughn, Jane Goldman

Starring: Charlie Cox (Tristian), Claire Danes (Yvaine), Robert De Niro (Captain Shakespeare), Sienna Miller (Victoria)

Length: 2 hr. 8 min.

Reviews:

”Good It's a kinder and gentler achievement but, in the midst of overbudgeted, over-hyped sequels, it's a fresh and welcome entertainment.” Berardinelli, Internet Critic

”Above Average There are lots of other good things in the movie, but they play more like vaudeville acts than part of a coherent plot. It's a film you enjoy in pieces, but the jigsaw never gets solved.” Roger Ebert

”Good Stardust lights up the screen with a splendid tale of heroism and romance.” USA Today

”Above Average Gaiman's Stardust is a sly bildungsroman whose discursive mix of romance, adventure and self-discovery is filtered through the prism of fairy-tale conventions, tweaked with quirky, deeply affectionate care” TV Guide Online
